The Show Budget

The budget of the show depends on the size, complexity, firing location, number of fireworks, types of fireworks used as well as a number of other factors. Pyro Spectaculars by Souza creates beautiful shows of all sizes, pyro calculatorfrom high school homecoming games to the world’s largest fireworks show in the world, the Macy’s Fourth of July Spectacular (HL).

The show budget is all-inclusive and includes components such as materials, labor, show permits, transportation, fire service personnel, equipment fees, and sales tax. Your show producer will work with you to develop a firework show within the budgetary requirements.

Show Permits

Every show requires a permit from the local fire authority. Depending on the firing location the fire authority could be a local fire department, a county fire department, or federal agency (e.g. Bureau of Land Management, US Forestry Service, etc.). Your show producer will be responsible for obtaining the relevant permit for the jurisdiction of the firing location.pyro permits

In addition to the fire authority permits there could be additional permits or permission required. Firing locations near airports will often need the permission of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Firing locations in protected areas such as parks or recreation areas might need a permit from their respective regulatory agency.

pyro dodgers firingTiming Considerations. While Pyro Spectaculars by Souza moves at the speed of business, most government agencies do not. We recommend contacting us as soon as possible so we may obtain all the necessary permits and permissions for your show.

Cost Considerations. The cost of the permit varies on the firing location and time of the year. The cost of the permit will be determined at the time of your proposal.

Other Costs & Fees

While Pyro Spectaculars by Souza will take care of paying for all the various costs of producing the show, there are some additional third party costs that are included beyond our fee. We’ve listed some of the various other costs that a client could incur. As every show is unique the costs vary depending on the show.pyro fire badge

1. Fire Service Personnel – Depending on the firing location the show permit might not include the cost of having pyro police badgethe fire service personnel present. This fee is in the event the permit does not include the cost of the fire service.
   
   
2. Police Personnel / Local Law Enforcement – Depending on the firing location the local police might be required to be present during the show.
   
   
3. Transportation Tolls, Fees & Permits – Depending on the firing location there might be additional transportation costs for transporting the fireworks.
