Planning a Fireworks Show

From site selection, to budgeting and day of event services we work with you hand-in-hand to ensure your show is of the highest caliber. Here is a brief outline of the fireworks process from the initial planning to the day of the show. Please check out our other guide on what to expect on the day of your event. 

Start Early - most of our Fourth of July customers will have us "booked" before the first of August, and certainly before the first of the year.

It all begins with the idea… You've decided that you want to have fireworks on the night of your event. Please give us a call at 888-477-PYRO to start the planning process with one of our expert show producers. We can help you best if, when you call, you've already know Who (your audience), What (the duration of your show), Where (the location), When (the date and time), Why (the occasion or the role fireworks will play), and How (what budget resources can you use to make the entire event spectacular). Your Show Producer will answer any questions you may have, and will arrange for a complimentary on-site consultation to begin the creative, collaborative and essential process to help you get the most effective and exciting show for your audience.pyro firing location

1. We will conduct a site survey.  We will conduct a site survey. Due to the nature of fireworks we need a qualified safe location to shoot the show. For a typical aerial show, the ideal location would be a wide-open field, away from buildings and people. But we have significant experience shooting on buildings, bridges, and just about anywhere else. Your show producer will help you identify the perfect location for your event and will take care of all the necessary pre-qualifications of the site.
   
   
2. Timeline. After you've decided you want fireworks for your event you should contact Pyro Spectaculars by Souza as soon as possible. Although we are pretty good at putting together last minute spectacular events, contacting us at least a month ahead of time will ensure that we can get all the necessary permits and materials. If you would like a Fourth of July show we recommend contacting us by February of the year you would like a show. We love planning in advance and contacting us earlier will always be appreciated.

3. Show Type. If you can dream it we can make it happen. We develop all different types of shows from Chinese New Years, to the Macy’s 4th of July Spectacular, to High School Graduations. We have a lot of tools in our firework tool belt and will work with you to determine what kind of show perfectly complements your event.
   
   
4. Budget. Our show producers will work with you to develop a budget for your show. The budget is determined by the complexity, location and run-time of the show. We can make a spectacular show fit within your budget.
